November 9 by Colleen Hoover.

“Goals are achieved through discomfort and hard work.

They aren’t achieved when you hide out in a place where you’re nice and cozy.”

Hello guys! How are you doing in this beautiful month of November? Is almost Christmas! I couldn´t be more excited about it. I know I have been absent for a really long time, but I was having troubles with uploading, I didn´t have time to upload entries to the blog, to read, and... lot of stuff. It would be awesome to be Flash you know? He finishes books in matter of seconds, also I could steal books and no one will catch me, how awesome will that be? Anyway, today on November 9, I´m bringing you the review of November 9 by Colleen Hoover! So with no further ado, shall we get started?

Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in L.A. together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist.

I gotta start with this, I don´t think this is one of the best books Colleen Hoover has written, I do actually think she could have donde more with this book than what she did, but don´t get me wrong, it is a good book, I just think it was missing something, but i can´t figure out what. This book introduces Fallon, who´s an ex- actress, shy and insecure girl because she´s scarred on half of her body and we also get to meet an aspiring- novelist named Benton Winston (I´m gonna explain him later on) . The book starts in a restaurant where Fallon is with his father who was the one who´s guilty for the burn that took away Fallon´s acting career, and the date´s November 9, the anniversary of the tragic accident.

Being completely honest her dad is an asshole, he has an ego that´s bigger than the empire state building and i feel he doesn´t give a crap about Fallon, so when his dad´s talking to her he brings out the fact that any guy has date her in two years, right over here, Benton or Ben comes up to save Fallon´s day and pretends to be her boyfriend. The attraction they had with each other leads them to spend Fallon´s last day in L.A together, because Fallon´s moving to New York to seek for new opportunities to get back into acting.

Benton decides to start a book about them, the deal was that they will both live separate lives but will always meet on November . Benton´s like the perfect book guy who has a really awful past, as almost all the male characters of Colleen Hoover, i think putting this rough past is something that characterizes Colleen´s male characters. We think we know everything about Ben until the plot twist comes, honestly I didn´t expect it and i liked that part, but here´s the part that somehow bothered me a little. This was a kind of Insta- love, which i do not hate but it was a little fast, they had met for such a little time and already trusted each other for everything, they met one day of the year, and had no contact, by this i mean, no texts, no emails, no fax, no smoke signals, no anything. They lived separate lives but somehow in November 9 it was like they were together the whole year. That was something i had a little trouble with.

I´m absolutely not saying don´t read this book, because it is actually a really good book, but I just don´t think it was one of the best books Colleen Hoover has written, if you´re like me you´ll get amazed by some things in the book, I liked Ben a lot and also Fallon but i still fill there was something missing from them in the book. If you ever get to read this book, please share your thoughts down below and I do really hope you enjoyed this review! Finishing I give this book... 4 out of 5 Stars, until next time, readers!

Also i share with you one of my favorites quote from this book:

“One of the things I always try to remind myself is that everyone has scars,” she says. “

A lot of them even worse than mine. The only difference is that mine are visible and most people’s aren’t.”

Fallon, November 9.
