Hello people of the universe, unless you´re an alien, if you´re, then stay! We´re already in October, a lovely month and Halloween is coming! Who´s excited for it? The year is almost ending, god, time passes very fast. I have been absent for a period of time because of High School, but now, I´m back! And i´m going to share you my October TBR,It´s not going to be a TBR full of books with scary stories, I don´t like those kind of books, I get scared pretty easily, but don´t worry guys, later on, I´ll start reading those kind of books (I hope). Well, I got a little out of the topic, as i was saying, here it is, my TBR, I´m kinda doing a marathon of Colleen Hoover books because this author is amazing, and I´m also reading another books, so with no further ado, let´s show you my babies for this month...
Ugly love by Colleen Hoover
Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.
They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.
Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.
I must say this book seems pretty interesting, by it´s synopsis you can say it has a history, I mean, it has to have a history behind it, someone has a past they don´t want to remember, also people have recommend me this one, so here I am, so excited to read this book. You should check the full synopsis and come back, then you´ll understand why I´m craving to read this book.
Percy Jackson and the battle of the labyrinth
Percy Jackson isn't expecting freshman orientation to be any fun, but when a mysterious mortal acquaintance appears, pursued by demon cheerleaders, things quickly go from bad to worse.
Time is running out for Percy. War between the gods and the Titans is drawing near. Even Camp Half-Blood isn't safe, as Kronos' army prepares to invade its once impenetrable borders. To stop them, Percy and his friends must set out on a quest through the Labyrinth—a sprawling underground world with surprises and danger at every turn.
Along the way Percy will confront powerful enemies, find out the truth about the lost god Pan, and face the Titan lord Kronos' most terrible secret. The final war begins... with the Battle of the Labyrinth.
I´m so excited to end the Percy Jackson series and I´m almost done! Each book was extremely good, I don´t want to end the series but at the same time I do, do you get me? Also, Lídice if you´re reading this, I´m sorry ,I´m not done with the book yet and i have just read your note, so if you´re reading this, love you, Peaches.
Hopeless
Sometimes discovering the truth can leave you more hopeless than believing the lies… That’s what seventeen-year-old Sky realizes after she meets Dean Holder. A guy with a reputation that rivals her own and an uncanny ability to invoke feelings in her she’s never had before. He terrifies her and captivates her all in the span of just one encounter, and something about the way he makes her feel sparks buried memories from a past that she wishes could just stay buried. Sky struggles to keep him at a distance knowing he’s nothing but trouble, but Holder insists on learning everything about her. After finally caving to his unwavering pursuit, Sky soon finds that Holder isn’t at all who he’s been claiming to be. When the secrets he’s been keeping are finally revealed, every single facet of Sky’s life will change forever
I think this book will be awesome too, I have heard it has a plot twist and let me tell you something, there are two things in this life I love: Plot twists and drama, I think this book is going to give a little of both and I love it has a history too, that´s why I´m reading this one and the second one that is...
Losing hope
In Hopeless, Sky left no secret unearthed, no feeling unshared, and no memory forgotten, but Holder’s past remained a mystery. Still haunted by the little girl he let walk away, Holder has spent his entire life searching for her in an attempt to finally rid himself of the crushing guilt he has felt for years. But he could not have anticipated that the moment they reconnect, even greater remorse would overwhelm him… Sometimes in life, if we wish to move forward, we must first dig deep into our past and make amends. In Losing Hope, bestselling author Colleen Hoover reveals what was going on inside Holder’s head during all those hopeless moments—and whether he can gain the peace he desperately needs.
This book is a follow-up of hopeless but it focuses more in giving us the story in Holder´s point of view, I think it will be so much heartbreaking than Hopeless because i have started it and i can say I´m in love with Holder and to hear the story coming from him will be heartbreaking, but who knows... Guess we´ll have to find that out
Finally, the book of the month, once again...
Red Queen
This is a world divided by blood – red or silver.
The Reds are commoners, ruled by a Silver elite in possession of god-like superpowers. And to Mare Barrow, a seventeen-year-old Red girl from the poverty-stricken Stilts, it seems like nothing will ever change.
That is, until she finds herself working in the Silver Palace. Here, surrounded by the people she hates the most, Mare discovers that, despite her red blood, she possesses a deadly power of her own. One that threatens to destroy the balance of power.
Fearful of Mare’s potential, the Silvers hide her in plain view, declaring her a long-lost Silver princess, now engaged to a Silver prince. Despite knowing that one misstep would mean her death, Mare works silently to help the Red Guard, a militant resistance group, and bring down the Silver regime. But this is a world of betrayal and lies, and Mare has entered a dangerous dance – Reds against Silvers, prince against prince, and Mare against her own heart.
