Hi readers! How are you! Today I´ll be sharing with you my thoughts about this awesome book, which is part of Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, it is actually the third book. I read this series a while ago, I really wanted to read them but i haven´t got the chance, so when i got to read this books i was pretty amazed, i liked them so much i kept reading the series, right now i have read the third book and let me say i consider this book as the best i have read until now from the series, this fantasy books make the greek myths sound so real. We get to meet new gods and half-bloods and may i say there´s a lot of Percabeth in this book! If you haven´t read this series, then don´t read this, you´ll get spoiled, if you have go ahead.

This book starts with Percy who´s now 14-years -old, Thalia and Annabeth going to find Grover who has send a distress call, because he has find 2 new half-bloods. These half-bloods are Nico and Bianca Di Angelo who´s parentage is unknown, Nico is ten years old, Bianca is his older sister and they both have dark silky hair and olive skin. When they´re going to get Nico and Bianca out of Westover Hall a monster didn´t let them, it was a manticore kinda thing to be clear. So right here the hunters appear, with their goddess of the hunt Artemis, right here they help them fight against the monster and in this fight Annabeth falls of a cliff in the back of the monster. She wasn´t dead, she was kidnapped, taken by someone.
When we meet the hunters and the most important one for the book, Zöe Nightshade we learn everything a girl has to leave behind to become a hunter and that they stay immortal if they become one, then Artemis who has been following a scent of a really ancient and powerful monster needs to keep going to find the monster, but she must do this alone because it´s to dangerous even for her hunters, so she sends them to camp half-blood with his brother, his hot brother, because he´s the god of sun of course, Apollo. When the girls get to the camp, time passes and they discover that Artemis is missing too, so they´re send on a quest, specifically Thalia, grover, Zoë and Bianca, yes you heard that right, everyone but Percy. As he is a guy that follows his instincts and does everything just because, he obviously goes, and in this exciting but dangerous quest we´re they have to find the goddes Artemis right before the winter solstice and face a really ancient and dangerous monster who can bring the Olympus down. And this is the Oracle´s prophecy that´s gived specially to Zoë Nightshade before going to the quest
Five shall go west to the goddess in chains,
One shall be lost in the land without rain,
The bane of Olympus shows the trail,
Campers and Hunters combined prevail,
The Titan’s curse must one withstand,
And one shall perish by a parent’s hand.
This book wasn´t difficult to read at all, these books are so easy to read because they´re well written and they´re main character Percy Jackson is actually a fun guy and it´s really interesting to get to be inside this guy´s head, it is a perfect mix of action and humor and i think that´s the main reason yo don´t get bored with these books. It is pretty well written because it does show the book´s plot really well but it also explains Percy´s relation with Thalia, we got to know Zoe Nightshade, why Thalia hates the hunters, and lots of things. The only point is that we didn´t get to meet Nico Di angelo pretty well but we will do it in the next books, as i have said i love the way Rick Riordan writes because he does it in a way that low us to understand and imagine everything that´s happening. Well as you may all know Percy goes to the quest, let´s move on and remember the prophecy, alright, so we knew that two were going to die. I didn´t get to know Bianca Di Angelo pretty well but when she died and gave percy the little statue for her brother I was like: Nico is going to hate him, because he promised he would protect his sister, and now she´s dead. I didn´t have a single clue that Zoe Nightshade was Atla´s daughter and god, poor girl she died by a parent´s hand, i got to know her a little better and a tear rolled out of my eyes when she said: I can see the stars.
In the part where Percy withstands the Titan´s curse! Oh god, He held the sky! And going back, when Apollo asked Thalia her age and she was like I don´t know and then Apollo told her you´re fifteen, you´ll turn sixteen in a week, they took like half of the book to realize how important that was, when Luke was telling Thalia to join them and destroy the Olympus with them (she almost does it, let me say it) Percy was like: Oh, yeah she´ll turn 16 in a week, Really!? And also Bessie! The serpent cow that was called The Ophiotaurus who was the ancient monster that could bring down the Olympus because as you know killing it and burning his bones had a really great power, Thalia was so close to joining them and killing bessie, but thanks god she didn´t and became a hunter so she wouldn´t be the one of the prophecy.
The thing that I was truly amazed for was that Nico Di Angelo is a son of hades, but oh god, this two are a really interesting story, because Hades didn´t broke the oath, they had stay in the Lotus casino for quite a while and someone, god knows who got them out of there. And also when Thalia "killed" Luke, well push him off a cliff and he wasn´t dead and somehow they knew it. I really hope that Grover finds Pan, that would be awesome and we need to remember that Grover found the sons of the big three, that´s amazing!
